education and performance programs with your tax-deductible contribution.

Since 1995, the Indianapolis Jazz Foundation has touched the lives of young students throughout Indianapolis by sponsoring jazz educational programs.
Our success lies in your hands through the annual financial support of patrons, volunteers, alumni, parents, and most importantly, through friends like you.

During these economic times, we clearly realize that the challenges we face
in nourishing a world-class arts organization and enabling students of all
socioeconomic backgrounds to participate.

Our goals can only be met with your help! Thanks in advance!

2009 Educational Programs

Jazz in the 20th Century - performance piece
Designed for high school and middle school music students, this program is performed by the Indy Jazz Fest Band which is a seven-piece ensemble comprised of some of the top jazz musicians in the state. Flanked by two video screens that show footage of jazz legends, this band goes through the history of jazz by performing songs from the early 1910’s to modern jazz.
